What to Wear
Dress at the Potomac Hunt races is eclectic. Jeans and boots of all kinds are the most common dress, but you will see ladies in picture hats and sundresses and men in dress pants and sport coats. However, beyond the standards of common decency, there is no dress code.
Footwear is very important at the Potomac Hunt races. The entire racecourse is on an open grassy field. We do not want our footwear fashionistas to ruin their beloved shoes, so we recommend something more practical. Experienced race goers wear sturdy boots in both good weather and bad.
